Brake light Questions

Brake light Questions Just swapped out the rear on my formula. Old rear was a traction control and the new one is not. Done the swap everything works fine. Problem brakelight on dash is off when I start the car and stays off until I apply the brakes pretty hard then the light comes on and stays on until I shut the ignition off. When I restart it the light is off. Any ideas fluid level is fine. Help BTW its a 01 formula and the donor car was a 01 TA

Could this problem be caused by the fact that the old rear was 4 channel and the new rear is a 3 channel. ABS was already INOP anyway. PCM problem with the new signal????
