Default length of stock panhard rod? 4th gen fbody

I bent my panhard rod rather well, and having a tough time measuring it to get the length for my replacement adjustable panhard rod. its on car adjustable, so should i just get on there and then make adjustments? I'm just trying to get a baseline.

I'd just get in on there and then make adjustments. The stock length is just a starting point anyway.

I taped some weights hanging off of string to the top of the rear fender openings and then measured from the top of the rim to the string while parked on level ground. Keep adjusting until the measurements are the same on both sides.

+1 on putting it on and making adjustments with the weights idea. I used some sockets as weights when I put mine on.

When I build PHBs, I buy a control arm that is 39 1/2" long. Is that what you are asking?

This is funny, im at work and have my old stock panhard bar sitting on my toolbox, from the center of each bolt hole, it is exactly 43" in length. But if you have an adjustable, start here and measure how much the gap is between each fender well and edge of the tire, with the car on the ground.

43" sounds right.

39 1/2" plus about 1 1/2" or so additional length of rod ends times 2 makes it about right.

Whenever you do this. What is the typical thread size of the rod ends? Ive been looking for parts and seems like 1/2-20 seems awfully small but then again it is chro-mo
