Default Got bored so i built a shock tower brace

well i got a little bored today so i built a shock tower brace out of some scrap i had laying around. it might be a little overkill but it got the job done a used some 1/4 inch flatbar that was 5 inches wide and cut it down and then took some 1 3/4 .120 wall DOM tube. i think it turned out pretty good and it only cost me about 20 bucks and a few hours here are some pics

Not sure on the weight i am sure it is atleast 10 pounds heavier then one you would go buy but for 20 bucks in metal to build it the weight doesnt bother me. Yeah it is pretty beffy that is the same tube i used to build rock sliders for my toyota 4x4 and i have hit them hard and no breaks yet!!!
one more thing the tube lower control arms that everyone buys are just stronger then stock ones and are the same length correct just wondering cause being layedoff is boring so i am looking at projects to do at my home with out spending a bunch off money

i have a model 205 protools bender for doing cages and other things i used to do on my offroad truck and i have a lincoln 185hd mig welder i used to weld it all up.i did notice the front of the car feels stiffer and just sitting turning the wheels it doesnt make as much little noises that it used to next is sub frame connectors and lower control arms and i might try and build my own TA not sure yet...i painted it for now if the paint doesnt hold up i will have it powdercoated
