Default speed bumps, how do you hit them?

my car is lowered so my suspension is pretty stiff. my parking garage for work is ridiculous with about 581 speed bumps, and they are speed bumps from hell. usually i try to go over just one side of my car and the space in between speed bumps in go through with my driver's side tire. should you hit speed bumps square though, i mean is it better for your suspension? or just hitting them with one tire is okay?

I can't see how that would harm your suspension at all. I usually have to go inbetween the bumps or try to go as sideways as possible and my car isn't even lowered. The cats on my y-pipe are what scrapes, I fear I'll never be able to lower it.

What you are doing is fine, When I have to drive all tires over one I hit it at an angle.

as long as you're not hitting them at 65mph, you'll be fine ... lol

I go over speed bumps pretty damn slow. If I can, I hit them at an angle and just roll over them, but I usually wind up hitting them straight on. I accidentally let my foot off the clutch today and bounced a little, slamming the car on the bump. Scared the hell out of me and I'm still looking for an oil spot or something under the car. My 2000 Z28 is dropped with Eibach's, by the way.

Very slow on the SB's.
If you know where it scrapes the most then clamp a U-bolt in that location, that way the U-bolt takes the wear not the exhaust pipe.

i figure stock exhaust isn't something i am too concerned about scraping, as long as it isn't a hit so hard that it could somehow send a jolt up through the pipes to the headers and crack the block or something...
