Default Lighter weight oem rear brake calipers

Looking to see if anyone has seen or used a lighter weight caliper that mounts in the stock location? I have the Moser 9" that fits the oem brakes which now I am seeing is limiting my choices.

I would think there is more weight to be saved in other ares than the rear calipers...

Unless all weight savings areas have been addressed and rear calipers are next on the list.

You can convert to LT1 brakes on the rear if you wish.

I have the strange setup front and rear. It saves about 37 pounds per axle, so im saving 75 total. Been very happy with them so far.

No sir the LT1s are smaller. To be sneaky I am doing that along with lightened backing plates. I went with Eradaspeed front rotors which were about 2 pounds lighter than stock.

No LT and LS brakes are very different in may ways from mounting location, E-Brake function, and brake gap. The brake gap is the biggest issue as it will effect how the rotor lines up to the caliper.

An to think that is our retrofit front brake kit to retain ABS, if you did the full Strange brake kit using the aluminum hubs there is a few more pounds to be saved.

I think the aluminum hubs would save another 5lbs per side.

The full kit replaces the wheel bearing and wheel flange. Those will not work with stock wheels. You must keep the stock wheel bearing to run a stock wheel.

DO you drive your car on the street at all? I am curious at how they perform as i was thinking about doing the front setup as well. I have the rear setup on the way. My other option was running a c5 rotor setup on front. Good bit of roll racing and some drag strip time. id say 60/70 percent street.

I have the Willwood setup on the front. Don't drive it daily but was a very simple install and haven't had any issues with them.
