Default Buying used suspension parts

What are the key things to ask about and look for when purchasing used suspension parts? Id love to buy all my parts new but I dont quite have the bank account to support that. Mainly asking about items like Konis, LCAs, PHB, etc. Thanks

cant speak for Konis, but mileage and overall condition is something to look at. I bought all of my UMI stuff used. (LCAs, PHR, Tunnel Mounted Torque Arm) As long as there is no visible damage, and the bushings (or rod ends, or whatever is on them) are good, you should be fine.

What he said about visible damage and bushings is correct. As far as Koni's go, one of the benefits is they are rebuildable, or revalveable , so they can really last you almost forever. If you are looking for something you don't have to rebuild right away, the mileage is going to be key on the shocks.
Look around since there are lots of used parts on eBay and whereever. You should be able to pick up a good deal on most everything. The shocks may go fast since a lot of people are looking for used koni's for all the same reasons you are. They are rebuildable and are great shocks.

I would stay away from anything that has rod ends,
because these wear quick and may be a reason the
piece was taken off. I had a Random Tech torque arm
that I bought used and it was really clunk-tastic.

I would go with the info posted above everything I have is used besides my SFC's reason is you weld them in. But I would want new Koni's and I wouldn't by those used but that's just me.

They do wear, but rod ends (atleast for my UMIs) arent that expensive. If you get a good deal on em, it wouldnt hurt to throw new ends on em.
