Default front suspension sagging = upgrade time

Well the passenger side front just started to sag today. That means time to upgrade. It has 90000km on it and still on original shocks and springs. I like the way stranos ride, handle and look, but it is lowered way too much. So I was thinking about the SLP spec bilstein and eibach package. I know the pro-kit for LS1 cars sag in the rear real fast and it lowers the car way too much, but does the SLP eibachs sag?

I'll let Sam give you the exact details because I am sure he has used the SLP/Eibach package or at least seen it before. But I can't imagine the Strano springs being too much lower if any than that SLP package?

Correct if I am wrong, just thinking out loud..

You don't seem to be all that into the lowered look so I'd suggest picking up new stock style springs and a set of bilsteins (unless you have the income to do Koni's).

Why not stock springs and use the lower perch on your Koni's?????????? In fact why are you looking to dump the Koni's at all? I'm confused. And as far as "too low", they might be for you--but clearly that's not the common feeling. Doesn't make you wrong--it's your car. I'm just saying that I wish folks would qualify their statements a bit on the internet.

Hell, there is another guy in another thread right now wanting the car to be lower than it is on my springs....

Oh.. didn't read his mod list.. yeah, why swap out your shocks? I can understand the springs if they are sagging and you don't like the stance. But why waste the money those Koni cost you?

The sagging is possibly caused by front upper mounts if there the original mounts. I really doubt the Strano springs are sagging.

actually the strano springs are on the 02 trans am and they are fine. But I just love the way it rides and handle with the konis and strano. But the sagging issues is on a stock 99 camaro z28. it is on stock springs and decarbons. I just dont want something as low as the stranos and eibach prokits. The stock spring is sagging so I would like to have that replaced before I start buying more stuff.

There's also Hotchkis 1" lowering springs, and if that's still to low you can put a set of BMR 1/4" spacers between the shock lower mounts, and the front Lower control arms which will bring the front ride height up about 7/16".

How about replacement springs (if they are sagging and it's not the mount) and Koni's with the lower perch/heater hose?

I was going to recommend this as well. Buy a set of 1" lowering springs to get the better rates then get a set of our 1/4" spacers to raise it back up a little. They can also be stacked to get you 1/2" if necessary.
