Spring/shock swap - Front strut pieces?
Finally got my shocks and am ready to do the swap.
I would kinda like to get the front struts "assembled"
beforehand, have a local shop that will do that on
their press for $25 a side. But I would need the
keepers / top plate off my car unless I can find a
"kit". Then I could have the fronts ready-to-swap
and things would go smoother I think. But where,
and what, to get? GM part #s, or is there a sponsor
here who has it all in a bag?

4th gen; there's the lower spring "perch" that's
a slip-over (?), not part of the shock, and there
is the top plate / keeper that the shock bolts
into, and that attaches to the well with the
3 bolts?
Basically looking for "everything but the spring
and shock" that you'd pull off in Step 1 as a
unit, so's I could get that done during the week
and cut my driveway time on the weekend.

Koni includes the perch on the DA's (and I sold my original perches). As far as I can tell, the lower mount is not available seperately (I just bought a set of struts, springs, perches and top plates off of EBAY for my car).
My dealer wanted $104 each for the top plates, www.tirerack.com has them for about $60.
Good luck!
