I'm wondering what some of the others are too....will this provide about a .5" drop like the heater hose mod does or will it be more/less? I'm thinking about lowering my car with the lower perch/possibly this mod over the winter while I'm touching up some other things.

The only way to tell the difference is to fold a heater hose flat and measure it. the isolator is pretty thin as well so yes my best guess is its a VERY close drop overall. I got a .5 inch or close to it going from the already cut oem isolator to the VT isolator which I showed pictures on the previous page.

WHen I get a hold of someones oem isolator I will do a direct swap and take pictures at the same spot so the ground is the same to show the difference.

Yeah my hands are hairy lol. Never kept the girls away though

I honestly don't know. How much does the koni lower perch lower the front? if you measure the oem isolator i can measure one of these ( I think I did and posted it earlier I cant remember ) you can just subtract and know the drop. If its the same as the lower perch than you would have an even drop front and back or close. ALso know my car has more rake only because my rear wheels are 1" taller overall diameter.

My suspension is Ground control Coilover kit. Level 2 Bilstein shocks (probably same as the usual Bilstein). Springs are 650 lb front and 200 lb rear. I went stiff because I am so low that i didnt want to bottom out over big bumps. works great. I will probably buy 750 lb springs and 250 rears soon.

Not sure if this was covered in pages 2-4 but it would be nice to have it fit the spring the full 360 degrees across the top. That would involve making the spring side a variable depth. That may in turn give an even pressure around each part of the spring which should increase spring life through wear. I am definitely interested in some but would like to see an even pressure across the top of the spring.

Thanks and yes i did look into the variable depth but it requires a whole new mold etc and thats big boy oem $$$. Ive sold quite a few anyone have any comments or feelings on them installed?

I do have some pairs left after that I'm not getting any more.

These are a great and really well made. Unfortunately though I had to put the OEM isolators back in the car because they lowered the rear too much with the springs I have (LG). My car was just about tucking the rear 285's and the car looked odd because it had reverse rake and was noticeably higher in the front.

Yeah I wish I could have found an easy solution to lower the front more because the rear looked awesome with these installed.

I may want a pair of these. Thinking of running a factory spring (maybe a V6) out back and keeping the QA1 coilovers up front. Just worried it may look a little off...

Problem is though...the Midwest Fab'd 9" is slamming the chassis on hard bumps in the road (well, the torque arm really). I'm hoping this gives me an inch more travel in the rear to limit the problem.

Probably a final bump.. have 2 pairs left. I asked the guy building them for me at the plant if there are any leftover so I'll know if theres more. I sold my SS 2 weeks ago so that's probably going to be the end of these ! Don't worry I still have my 8500 rpm LT4 vette so Ill be in the lt4 section but still on ls1tech

Had 2 local guys buy these and when I get a chance to meet them Ill take some after pics for comparison. Both guys are happy and love the isolators !
