So for a while now I've had an annoying banging noise that occurred every time I hit any type of rough road. I checked every part of the suspension on both sides of the car and still heard it from the passenger side. Finally today I noticed that there was a metal tab from the metal plate right above the rear sitting on the panhard bar (circled in red). What exactly is that metal plate for?

Ah I see. Well that crap was making me go crazy for a few months now with how loud it was.
