I'm just curious what options I have in trying to tighten up my steering. There is really nothing wrong with it, but I would like to freshen it up, I'm sure after 67k miles and 16 years it wouldnt hurt. I dont know a lot about the different steering components so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

actually tighten it up or make it handle better? check all bushings/ball joints/tie rods first of all, but then shocks and swaybars make a world of a difference

Being a LT1 car you can get the rag joint eliminator also.

Hmmmmm, I've never heard of a rag joint eliminator? I do have sway bars already installed and shocks waiting to be installed. I guess I'm looking to get the least amount of play in my steering wheel as possible. I just put in a ton of suspension parts and I want to make sure that I'm getting the most out of my mods, so I want to make sure the orig stock parts will support it.

Welded SFCs really gave a nice improvement when cornering, the car feels more solid, responsive and tracks as one which improves steering "feel". It is a little difficult to find the right words to describe it.

i had my tires replace today & i looked under the front end and noticed where my steering pinion rack is the bushing on both sides were completely busted that would be a huge part in my steering wheel having play right?

Well, I ordered my ragjoint eliminator today. I did a little searching and I'm not sure if it's going to help me too awfully much, I've only got 66k on the clock, but every little bit helps. For $40 shipped to my door brand new, it's gotta be worth it. I guess this begins the endless replacing of parts in the steering system lol.
