Default Help - can't remove front a-arms bolts

I was trying to take front a-arms off, and stuck with big vertical bolts - they don't move at all... I sprayed them with WD-40 and hit with a hammer, tried rotating the head (I know they have fixing key on top of the K-member), but nothing helped.
Are these bolts supposed to get this rusty and stick?
Help!

That's pretty common. Mine were stuck fast, I soaked them, heated the bushing, hit it with a huge hammer... nothing worked. I had to cut through the top and bottom of each bushing with a sawzall. It was a huge pain. Good luck.

Grease the new ones to prevent this.

Damn that's not giving me any more hope... I want to take them off without cutting the bushings...

Sounds like the bolts are rusted to the steel inserts in the bushings. I'd suggest soaking the bolts (from the top side) with penetrating oil. Then try to knock the bolts loose from the bottom side, and/or turn the bolts with a wrench, and hope the steel sleeves don't break loose from the rubber inside the bushings. If that happens, you'll be looking at the sawz-all....

PB Blaster is the best at getting thru the rust. I've tried em' all and PB is #1. WD-40 isn't even in the same league. Jmo

Try to soak them with PB Blaster first. If that doesn't work bring out the torch!

This is somewhat of a "desperation" move, as I'm not sure what would happen to the surrounding metal....that's my disclaimer.

CocaCola WILL dissolve rust. If nothing else works, maybe using a turkey baster to "apply" the stuff, you might give it a try.

i dealt with this about 6-8 weeks ago with my friends bird. tried everything heat sawzall jacking the car up by the bolt, sledge hammer

here is the easy fix that does not require bushing replacement. go to harbor freight and but a 15 dollar air chisel/air hammer. then on your way home stop at home depot and rent one of their small air compressors for 8 hrs (really only takes 10 minutes including setup) the air chisel is basically a hand held jack hammer. works great. just try not to damage the threads as those bolts are spendy at the dealership (25+ if i remember correctly)
