I'd go with a torque arm thats what fixed my wheel hop. I went with a UMI adj full length one and I love it.

This should fix it. I had the same problem, and it went away after I put the brackets on.

I thought relocation brackets were only for cars that had been lowered?

LCA's don't always cure wheel hop, there are just too many other variables to consider. The easiest way to tell in 30 seconds if you will benefit from LCA relocation brackets is to look at the angle of your lower control arms. If the front bushing is lower than the rear, it's safe to say that relocation brackets will benefit your 60 ft/times. Your lower control arms need to be pointing slightly upward for the rear suspension to initiate weight transfer properly. Most people think that the only thing that causes wheel hop is flexible suspension components. While this is probably 75% of the problem, an improper "instant center" is the other culprit. Control arm relocation brackets can correct your instant center and cure wheel hop most of the time. When I say most of the time, keep in mind it is not a 100% guarantee as you can see from above posts. Horsepower level, weight distribution, auto vs. manual, tire choice, shock and spring combos, etc. all can effect this and some cars just need more to make them hook properly without wheel hop.

I would try a set of relocation brackets first as a more cost friendly mod then if they don't correct it a torque arm is in order...

Panhard doesn't help wheel hop. I say try LCA brackets next.

Hello,

I agree with everyone above. The lower control arms are a great start but won't always cure all the wheel hop issues. The panhard bar is a great item but like mentioned isn't designed to cure any wheel hop issues.

I would also recommend a set of relocation brackets for your next step, they are inexpensive ($89.99) and make a very noticeable difference. The torque arm is also a great item and eventually a great upgrade but is a bit more expensive so it depends on what your budget allows.

Here is a link to the UMI Relocation Brackets- www.umiperformance.com/2012

I hope that helps!

Yes, the transmission mounted torque arm, also known as a full length torque arm works very well. This torque arm is great for the track and street, on this street this style torque does not add any additional road noise or change the ride quality. It is a direct bolt in and available in adjustable or non-adjustable. I posted two links below to our transmission mounted torque arms.

If you have any questions please ask. Thank you!

Installing a trans mount TA isn't hard, there are a just a few little tricks to it. Again, something I try and let my customers know about. Just one of those things that you don't get from vendors who only sell parts or ebay stores..... Service is part of the sale with some places--more often it's only about the sale with many shops. Can't say I blame them, I get a lot of tire-kickers wanting the info they can't get from their bargain shops. I've had to stop being so open which is pretty sad, but it became the only way to protect my business and the stuff I've had to learn.

I use a UMI Trans Mount TA on my Camaro, and in fact I use that TA most often, and if folks want to get the mounting off the transmission we then add a TA Relocation bracket.... Either way is IMHO a superior setup to a tunnel-mount arm for a number of reasons.
