98 trans am lowering question

Default 98 trans am lowering question

Im getting a new suspension on my trans am.. its getting the bilstein shocks and struts and getting lowered with the eibach 1.4 in drop springs. im afraid it might too low?? does anyone have pics of their rides lowered 1.4 in with stock 16in rims?? please help

too low, go with bmr,or strano springs.

Here's a thread in the FAQ section that has some pictures. Overall, Strano and BMR seem to be the highest recommended, and they're about a 1.25" drop.

Also....these cars do not use struts, but have shocks on all four corners

1.4'' isn't that much of a drop. I think you will be fine on 16'' wheels..

Have you bought the springs yet?

The Eibach (LS1) pro-kit sits lower then advertised, has spring rates to low for the drop it has, plus they tend to sag over time.
There's better options out there.
IMO, take a look at: Strano's, BMR, Vogtland, H&R, KB Hypercoils, Hotchkis.
