Are they the on car adjustable (at end of shock shaft), or the off car adjustable (on top of shock body) ?

Here's the off car adjustable:

0 to 1 click is most common (from full soft).

The on car adjustable adjusts with a **** placed on top of the shock shaft, after the shock has been installed and tightened down.

0 to 1/2 turn (from full soft) is ideal.
