Default Spohn Torque Arm, time to let it go?

I am pulling my car off of the drag strip and dedicating it to fun all around driving and some canyon carving. I have the tunnel mount drag racing torque arm. Is there ANY disadvantage to having it on the car in the turns? It still helps me plant the tires on regular roads, so I'd like to keep it. However, if there is a negative side to having it, you'll see it in the for sale section soon - that'll help ease the pain of buying the watts link! Car will have koni/strano shocks/springs and strano sway bars.

Definitely recommend keeping it considering you don't have the torque arm mounted on the trans any more.

I've grown fond of it and for some strange reason didn't want to sell it anyway. Its actually really weird. Thanks for the quick help!

I've heard that the shorter arm can cause wheel hop out back under hard braking, but I don't know if it's a big enough disadvantage to try to get rid of it. Hopefully some of the more knowledgeable auto-x people can chime in or someone that's tested them back to back.

I know Sam doesn't run one. That (the "more knowledgeable auto-x people") Is what got me thinking in the first place. Honestly, getting rid of it wouldn't be a big deal. I'd probably wind up trading it for a stock arm and a loop - please people don't start saying "dibs," or "I've got those, hit me up if you want to trade." Thanks for checking in, 99F, it sounds like there may be more to the story. I don't think this will see an auto-x track in its life, but real world canyons can be a little scarier if you get into the grass!

I just bought one waiting on it to arrive. Keep it I don't see it hurting anything.
