Hotchkis STB for FAST 102 Manifold Request Thread
#21
You will probably have to use a Fox body type STB. The type that bolts to the cowling @ the firewall and then attaches to the strut tower on the opposite end. I would use the shock tower base plate from and exiting STB and trim off the bar. Then add an attachment flange to cowl end of the trimmed bar and weld the bar to the tower plate.
It should tie the front together tight without interfering with the manifold.

What if we took our custom STB...

NOTE: I need to update the pics on the site, that was a prototype, our production pieces are WAY cleaner looking, here is one...
and just turned the part that is where the custom waterjet metal is to be parallel to the motor. We could make it higher, longer, whatever we need and then test the strength of the piece (it is facing the way it is to make it the strongest due to the angles of force on it)...

This member (Ramairws6) in another thread about his STB fitment problem with the 102 seems to have figured his out. He Tig welded an inch on either side to a V8 BMR STB and then powder coated it again says it fits perfect under the hood. 6litereater, maybe he has the geometry and numbers figured for a template for you to fabricate a mean one. Just an idea.
