Praise the LCA's

I just got all my parts installed and tuned (in sig) and took it out for some shakedown runs and at the 1-2 shift i was spinning for a second and sliding a couple feet wide right, so it was sketchy going full throttle, then i posted my stock exhaust setup and smog equip on cragislist and a local f body guy and reconsidered selling my stock exhaust and smog but he asked if i needed any parts i said LCA's and torque arm the had some Lakewood LCA's on his ss that he was swapping the motor and so all in all i gave him my EGR valve and $20 for his LCA's and i got them on yesterday and it handles better spins/wheel hops less and no more sidways shifting. LOVE THE NEW SETUP.:D

You noticed a pretty big difference then?

Tyler Z28 Feb 3, 2011 06:42 PM

yea i was planning to get a torque arm first because i heard it was more effective than LCA's alone but im pretty tight on cash right now so it worked out perfectly trading for the arms and the car is all stock besides a shift kit LCA's and the engine bolt ons.

Nice to hear. That is my next mod. You got the relocationg brackets to? or just the lca's?

The Mighty Texan Feb 3, 2011 07:50 PM

Won't relocations without being lowered be good for traction end up hurting cornering and other non straight-line applications?

Who cares these are muscle cars. And you live in texas there are no corners ther....

It all depends what your wanting your car for i guess. If all it sees is the strip yeah cornering doesnt mean a thing.

Sort of. If you put the rear lower than the front you can increase oversteer, not ideal for a street/cornering car.

lol....it's amazing what a few pieces do to these cars to make them more like "sports cars" ;)
