Solid or adjustable LCA's?
 

Just curious what everyone recommends for low-mid hp street car that might go to the track a half dozen times a year and possible some auto-x events. I want to pick up some weld-in relocation brackets as well. I thought with it not being an extreme track car but something I want to be able to carve corners on a backroad the solid would be fine, but I'd like to hear others opinions as well.

i see a lot of people running solid w/ relocation brackets.

I'm running solids with the relocation brackets. It's a good setup.

The best way to tell if you need solid or adjustable is to measure to see if the rear is centered. it wont matter if you have 200hp or 1000...if the rear is off, the extra 50bucks for adjustables would be worth it. Take your measurements off your solid chassis points and then go from there. most people get away with solid but again...they "get away" with it.. Your call bro. Good luck!!!

Go get an alignment, they will tell you if your rear end is off. When I took mine is I found out mine is off by a little bit so I'm going to get some adjustable ones in the future.

If you are going to install a set of weld in relocation brackets you might want to consider adjustable control arms. We have seen weld in brackets get installed and they are off a little and the control arms allow you to correct this. Of course this isn't the best way but the brackets can be tricky to line up perfect on both sides.

Also if you are looking into some auto cross I would recommend at least one end of the control arm to be a rod end or Roto-Joint to allow some articulation.

I had solid BMR's on my 10 bolt with UMI relocation brackets. Everything was good and the car was centered.

then I installed my 10 bolt, and 18 x 10.5 wheels with a mt 305 drag radial out back, and I needed to get adjustable lca's.

Good advice to follow from a good company.

That makes sense as far as the relocation brackets go. I was looking at the UMI adj. with the rod ends vs the solids to compliment my UMI adj. PHB I already have.
