Default 17' wheel brake help, need new set up

I was reading the sticky talking about using the V series GM OEM brakes for F-body cars. The issue I am having is the need for 18' wheels. I have a very nice set of 17s and am trying to keep them vs upgrading to 18's. Are there any good brake packages out there for 17s that are reasonable priced? I've seen baer and brembo kits of 3K+ and there a little out of my price range.

C5 brakes are your best bang for the buck.

From what I understand, you can fit CTS-V caliper and C5 rotors under some 17'' rims with little to no modification (i.e. a special mounting bracket for the calipers) You will most likely need a spacer to push the wheel out a little and thus also need longer wheel studs for your front axle.

I will be attempting to fit this setup under my 17'' TTm's here in about 2 weeks.

Will the CTSV calipers mount in the same location the C5 calipers will? I'm asking if the same bracket can be used for both?
