Default Manual brake conversion

I want to get rid of my power brakes and do a manual brake set up. Anyone done this? Pics? Does anything special have to be done during the install?

I just did the swap and will be bleeding the brakes tomorrow. I'll let you know how they feel. Switched for the same reason..huge .748 lift cam, etc.

Sweet! Do you still have stock discs? I have more of a RR setup so any agressive brakeing feedback is greatly appreciated. Also are you keeping the abs?

Don't mean to jack the thread, but quick question: What does the cam size have to do with power/manual brakes?

I did it for weight. It stops like a dump truck. 2 foot stops sometimes if you need to woah it down quick. Drilled the pedal hole for the pivot one inch up and used burkhart stuff with the brace. I made some 100+ passes in the 1/8 stopped fine in the run down. Just not the most fun to drive on the streets. I am looking in to some more aggressive brake pads to help with that, but it works like it should.

any manual brake setup will require more pedal effort than the stock style power assist setup... thats the whole reason behind "power assist" brakes. If the system is setup correct(line size, master cylinder bore, caliper volume, proportioning, ect) then it really isn't all that bad.

We have the manual master conversion kits for 169.00. Includes all the necessary hardware and a Strange master cylinder.

The only thing that looks like it is going to suck with this swap is removing the brake pedal so you can relocated where the rod mounts

I realize this..I worked on roadrace cars for almost 20 years. Our setup was always tilton with indendent masters for the front and rear. Pedal effort on those cars was only slightly more with better feel. If this would be equivalent of that then it would be great.
