Rebuilding Steering Rack.... Has anyone ever attempted this? I see autozone sells a kit for it and GM sells some parts for the rack as well, just wondering since a reman one from GM is around $800.

I just ordered one for $169 with a $50 core refund when I send it back. So it will be $119+shipping for the core.

I talked to Turn One today , they told me that they could rebuild my rack for $200, i am going to buy there pump anyways, SAchris, i checked the link out and its good and all but there were two racks for 2000 and up one for a V8 and one for a V6 car, so that makes me a little weary.
