Replacing a bearing First off is it that hard to do? And second does anyone have a guideline to replace one? |
A bearing on what? Wheel bearing? Front or rear? |
Whell bearing. Front driver side. I believe that is what it is. Its not the tire. But when i'm driving straight or turning to the left there is a wobble coming from the front drivers side tire. But if I turn to the right at a certain point it goes away. |
Soak that shhhhh in PB Blaster the night before. Liberally spray on the bolt heads the day of and hammer it to help loosen it. It's pretty straight forward once you get the rotor and caliper out of the way. |
ummm........the bearings on the front are sealed.......you have to buy the whole hub if the bearing is bad.........for those that suggested differently........the internetz police sez you have to hand over the keys |

Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
