Default Have Hypercoils, but may change to BMR/Hotchkis, Should I?

I have a 00 SS with QTP LT's, Mufflex ORY, and SLP D/D, and I have hypercoils now and I want to change to either BMR or Hotchkis because of ground clearance for my exhaust. What is the approximate drop of hypercoils? The hypercoils were on the car when I bought it so I don't know how much it was lowered. Is it worth changing them out for BMR/Hotchkis for clearance reasons? I don't want to go back to stock springs either!

Thanks,
Robbie

Damn, you're gonna dump what is arguably the best street spring for the F-bodies for an extra .5 inch clearance. Do you know how hard it is to get Hypercoils. I don't think L.G. motorsports even sells these anymore. You will sell the springs in a hurry though, which may be some benefit to you. Is the extra half an inch that important to you? If you want more clearance for your exhaust, and performance springs for handling, you may want to check into the 1LE springs.

Is that high enough that I should change them? Will that make a diffrence you think? I love the way my car sits now and the ride is pretty good.

Thanks,
Robbie

Another option is to use a ground control or global west coil over setup so you can adjust the height as needed, then you could use about any spring rate you want too.

No kidding - I was thinking the same thing! I would be damn sure you REALLY want to sell them because getting another set will likely be difficult. With that said, the Hypercoils are about the same drop as Prokit springs - about 1-1/2 to 1-5/8" in most cases.

I recently got lucky and found some hypercoils, and I'm very very satisfied with them. Since they are progressive even with stock shock they arent to bouncy. The ride height in my opinion is perfect anything lower would be a PITA. I already have a aftermarket Y-Pipe which hangs bout as low as any LTs would, I have not bottomed out yet. So I wouldnt worry bout clearance at this point, especially a 0.5" from something like hotchkis or BMR. I am running a slightly taller tire though 285/40 17s all around. Wouldnt swap my hypercoils for anything!

yea I think I'm gonna go ahead and keep my Hypercoils because I love the way the car sits and rides.
