NOS DeCarbons for $60??? New/Take offs...
#6
Used and DeCarbons shouldn't go together when buying. My car has currently 62k on it, and stock decarbons are junk. The guy may be telling the truth, but I wouldnt want to spend 60 bucks and do the install to find out they're shot...

FWIW OP, a member on here gave me his old aftermarket shocks when he upgraded to konis and they are alot better than stock shocks. My old ones were bottoming out and not doing a dang thing and these at least work. I still am going to get a decent set up but i would say 50-60 bucks well spent vs riding decarbons.

I bought a set of take off shocks, springs, wheels and tires from SLP for a little over $500 in 2002. I figured that was better than spending $225 a piece for replacement Goodyear tires. I still have the springs, Delphi shocks, and the painted wheels.

Cold air hoods were standard, Bilsteins were an option, as were SLP's headers, Hurst shifters, and Auburn posi units. ALL of these "take off" parts were sold off directly to the public by SLP. I even bought a set of the DeCarbon "take offs" for future use on my car, before I realized how crappy they were, and put Bilsteins on instead. I wound up selling off my "take off DeCarbons" to someone who wasn't an enthusiast, and was on a really tight budget.
