Default BMR warranty?

Took the cover off today and did the spring oil change. While under there I always do a once over of everything and wipe everything down. Well I noticed my torque arm is cracked on the upper plate where it mounts to the differential. Dose BMR offer any type of warranty, or do I just need to get a new one?

Direct from their site:

BMR product applications are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of (2) two years from the date of sale to the original purchaser. Obligation under this warranty is limited to product replacement but not the reinstallation of the replacement product or other incidental costs. This warranty does not cover any product that has been subject to misuse, neglect, alteration, accident, or improper installation. Normal wear shall not be considered a defect under this warranty. All warranty adjustments are limited to replacement or credit of returned merchandise. This warranty specifically excludes impact damage or damage to powdercoat. BMR will issue a Returned Material Authorization number for every return. Returned goods will not be accepted without an RMA Number. BMR will ship the replacement product at no charge using UPS Ground. If the customer would like to upgrade the shipping method (for example, Next Day Air), the customer will be charged the difference in shipping cost.

This problem is usually caused by loose bolts. It is probably the most common torque arm problem.

However, it might be ok. BMR laser cuts that bracket from steel plate and then we bend it. We purposely put an extra cut in the steel plate so that the bracket does not distort as we bend it into shape. Sometimes, customers mistake this extra cut for a crack.

You need to send a photo to Kyle@bmrsuspension.com. He will let you know if this is anything to worry about.

Definitely e-mail me some pictures over so I can see what you have going on. I am assuming you probably have a 12 bolt rear end?

Thanks guys! I'll get a pic this weekend, it's on the top corner of the drivers side of the plate. It might be intentional, I could only see the corner wasn't touching and feel the separation for 1/4" or so. I have a 9" rearend

That is an unusual occurrence on a 9-inch. Definitely get us some pictures so we can check it out for you.

That is a factory cut that is made so the bracket can be broke and formed, without making that cut it would deform the bracket when trying to make that particular bend.

Both of the torque arm brackets in this post are perfectly fine.

I responded to your email this morning with a photo I took of a bracket before we coat it. That way you can see how/why the cut is made. In order for the large piece of thick metal to make that bend, we have to make a breaking cut as part of the manufacturing process.

I hope the information and photo helped ease your concerns.
