Whats up LS1tech!

I got a quick question.
I am looking to get Lower Control Arms and a Panhard Bar.

Is it worth getting one thats adjustable?..
I was just thinking of getting the UMI stock replacement ones.
I have an A4, so my rear diff doesn't take too many hard hits and I'll be getting 315s on there. But other then that I think I'll always have a 10-bolt.

I'm planning also on getting a 1-2 inch drop on springs and the bilstein HD shocks.

Well since you say you plan on going with wider tires, and lowering your car i would definatly go with adjustable PHB and LCA's that way you can reset your suspension geometry for the drop, and get your wider rear wheels centered on the axle

I perfer double adjustable, because you can do the adjusting on the car. single you have to adjust off car and put back on.

Yeah, I bet they are a lot easier, but I'd like to save where I can...
Would do single adjustables do the trick? Or with lowering & bigger tires gonna be double adj.?

Hello,

If you are getting 315's for the rear I would recommend an adjustable panhard bar. The panhard bar will allow you to move the rear end side to side and gain some clearance. This can be needed when installing tires of that width. I would look at this panhard bar- www.umiperformance.com/2029 Part #2029

How much do bigger tires and lowering the car require you to adjust?

Because originally I wanted to get non adjustable panhard bar/control arms because I figured I wouldn't ever have a different kind of rear on that car..

I have all non-adj UMI but I`m only using a 295 sized tire in the rear. I`ve never had a problem.

If you are lowering the car, you need an adjustable phb to center the rear end. I don't believe that you need adjustable lca's as this only adjusts your axle front to back and this shouldn't change very much if any when you lower the car. i got both from founders for cheap and love them! I also got the relocation brackets which helps to plant your rear wheels and prevent wheel hop.

dude a single adjustable is gonna be a pain. youll have to adjust replace and see how close you are and do it again and again and again and again........ see how annoying that got ...... thats what will happen with a single adj.

save yourself the headach and get a double adj. i did and im not even running that big of a tire, but when i lowered the car it needed a ton of adjustment.
