Default Anyone running Electric Vac Pump for Brakes?

Looking to install an electric vac pump to help with my brakes due to weak vacuum of this cam (12" at idle). Let me know what you're running and how you like it? Also, where you installed it and the amount of noise I'm looking at? Thanks and any advise is welcome.

Pretty sure using a hydroboost system is the answer to this problem, not jury-rigging a vacuum pump. If that thing ever fails mid-braking, your brakes lose most of their effectiveness. Definitely look into my suggestion. Here's an example of a popular kit:

This totally fixed my brake issue 100% I have a huge cam. The high dollar pump is not needed in my opinion. try one of these!

I have a canister installed and it's not helping much. I'm only pulling 12-13" vacuum at idle.

Man I'd love to go that route as you're right it's the best option, however damn it's going to run you over $800 and I can buy 3 electric pumps for that price.

Which elec pumps are you looking at? Have to go the "assisted" route myself. Elec pumps are a little noisy from what I've heard.

How many new '95 T/A's, 383 Strokers, 190cc AFRs, LE Custom Cams, BBK 58mm throttle bodies, FAST 42# injectors, MSD BILLET OPTIs, and full suspension setups can you buy for $800? Braking functionality is kind of high on my priority list...

I only have 10" of vacuum and my brakes are amazing. If you're still running stock LT1 brakes that's your problem not the vacuum unless your legs are weak as hell.

I'm running the older Baer 13" track kit (based on the C4 design) and it's brand new. I don't know what your talking about but everyone I've spoken to or thing I've read says that your brakes will be hard as hell if you are running weak vacuum due to your booster not working properly. I'm going to pull the MC and bleed that this weekend first and see if I have any air trapped in there first and then go from there.
