So my girlfriend calls me on her way home and says he pedal is really squishy, she comes home i jump in the car and it feels fine the first few pumps then it slowly drops to the floor, after a few tries it is complete mush and go right to the floor. i figure maybe a vacuum leak or something because firestone just charged her for new brakes rotors and a flush. i go back out an hour later and there is a big puddle of brake fluid under the front driver side tire. im assuming the brake hose popped so im gonna grab a new one and some dot3, anything else i should look for? i already checked her booster/vacuum lines so all that is good. just dont want to overlook anything and do it once

If they flushed the brakes maybe they left a loose bleeder screw. I would take the car back to Firestone and raise hell with the managers before I messed with anything.

Symptoms of the bad line. Might or might not be firestones fault; look for damage to the line as you replace it, but my guess is you won't be able to prove squat unless it's obvious, and even then good luck in trying to collect.

Replace the line, bleed the brakes, and you should be good to go.

are you in ansonia, which firestone store so i know to never go there ?

nah man im in charlotte atm, but i had her dad come over and switch out the brake hose which had a nice slice in it. i would have done it myself but my back is pretty messed up at the moment. bled the brakes and its all good to go now. i just dont see how they didnt notice all the dryrot on a brake hose like that.
