Default Need some front suspension advice - shocks/springs

I've been doing some homework but looking for some advice for my bird.I'm looking for a front shock/spring setup that will primarily be used on the street with a couple trips to the track per year. My car is setup as follows.

97 Bird Convertible
383 procharged LT1 -700+ rwhp
6 speed manual
All option with a/c
S60 rear with QA1 DA shocks/ stock springs
Front suspension is entirely stock
BASICALLY IT'S A PIG

I will be keeping the stock k-member and believe a DA shock setup would be ideal. I'm not dedicated to a brand so Strange/QA1/AFCO are the ones I see pop up when browsing the forum. Would a 300 or 325lb spring be ideal? Any other suggestions?

I saw the sale but I was thinking a coil over setup with double adjustable shocks would be ideal. I'm still not sure about the spring rate.

Are you intending to corner carve, drag race or mainly street it?

Mainly street use but it will see the drag strip a couple times a year. If figured the DA shocks will allow me to get the ride comfort I want on the street and then try and pull a tire at the track. I would like it to be able to handle a sweeping corner but I know I can't get the best of all worlds here. I put around 3k miles on the car a year. As I mentioned, the front end is heavy with all the typical factory options plus the weight of the procharger, intercoolers, piping, and meth pump.

I forgot to mention the following other suspension upgrades and my street and drag wheel setup. I know I'm asking for advice on the front but I assume it may be useful.

UMI chassis mount tq arm / UMI adj LCAs w reloc. brackets / UMI sway bar
Street wheels - heavy 18x8 chrome TT2s front / 18x10 rear
Drag wheels - Weld RT-S 15x4 front / 15x10 rear

Thanks for choosing UMI components for your car. For the 300 vs 325, you can expect a bit better drag performance from the 300's and perhaps better corner carving with the 325's. Popular handling springs are quite a bit higher rate than 325 but of course it depends on what you're expecting out of the car.

Adding DA's to the front give you the best of every world as you can split the damping for launch, soften both settings for cruising, crank both settings for corner carving, fine tune balance for auto-x, etc.

Do you have any packages available to suit what I'm looking for?
