Default Hollow vs. solid sway bar. Whats better for road racing/canyon carving?

Hey guys,

I'm in the market for some sway bars and was curious on how hollow vs. solid sway bars perform for road racing and canyon roads. I know the hollows save quite a few pounds over solids but does that take away from any possible handling characteristics? I've been looking at the hollows from Strano and the solids from UMI.

Any advice or experience with these sway bars is appreciated!
Thanks!

Considering that Strano chose hollow for his design and won with them, why would you go with extra weight? These cars really don't need extra weight...

I'm reasonably sure there is no difference in performance, the hollow bars are about weight savings.

About 20lbs of savings over all vs the solid bars of equivalent size (35/22).

Solids are a bit stiffer but also slightly heavier. Benefit is lower cost. Both solids and hollows work well.

So, no one's considered a chromoly solid sway bar? Solid, yet not as heavy as steel... I picked up a new Hotchkis unit for the price of a UMI solid piece on eBay
