LS1 Camaro Caliper Boot Replacement

I need to replace a caliper boot on a caliper off a 98-02 camaro firebird. Is this an easy task to do and is there any special tools needed to do so? I found some seals on rockauto for pretty cheap so im hoping i can fix it.

The boots are easy. Remove the caliper from its mounting bracket, then pull the bracket part of the caliper off the slide pins. The boots are held to the bracket and pins in little grooves. Just give the boots a light tug and they pop right off. I'd recommend you clean up and grease the pins at this point.

The only thing that would make this job a PITA is if the pin is seized up. I had one that was STUCK. I had to replace the whole bracket and pins on that caliper.

other tips:
grease the smooth part of the pin before retorquing....use locktite on threads.
