Default 04 gto grinding when stoping

Hey all, recently I have been having some grinding noises when coming to a complete stop. It feels and sounds to me like it is coming from the front drivers side. My first reaction was to obviously check the brakes. Well the rotors all seem ok and the pads have a good amount of meat on them. Now I have read that these pads are just thick and will seem to look ok but I am unsure. I would greatly appreciate some help. Thanks guys!

What type of pads are you using. Is there a rust edge on the inside of the rotor that the pad could be rubbing against?

Are they ceramic pads? It may just be because they're a rough ceramic, the make loud noises on and off depending on how thick the ceramic chunks are.
