LCA's install advice needed I got a set of HPM adjustable lower control arm's and have some ???? http://i604.photobucket.com/albums/t...psdbab882c.jpg what side does the adjustable end get bolted up to? what are the torque specs of the bolts? what grease is best to use for the bushing? my car is NOT lowered its stock height so do I just set them up to the stock LCA length? |
adjustable end goes to the rear. I never use torque specs on none moving parts, just make sure theyre tight and youll be fine. Any suspension grease will be fine. Set them up for stock length and adjust them accordingly to center your rear in the wheel wells. |

That's not real great advice to give. BTW, in order to prevent as much NVH to be transmitted to the car, as well as to allow for some articulation in the suspension, the end with the bushings attaches to the chassis, the rod ends, to the rear axle. |

I will admit, IIRC its impossible to get a torque wrench on the front LCA bolt. It's been so long since I've put mine on I don't remember. |
Get a chilton or haynes manual as they have most torque specs. Tight isnt good enuf. Do it right. Plus poly bushings reqiure proper grease. The grease is some of the stickiest stuff I have ever used. Call it devils boogers. Haha |

thanks every one for the input! I got them in pretty straight forward got them on hand tight then loaded the suspension and torqued to 80ft lb. as stated on a website I found Link: http://www.installuniversity.com/ins...ca_install.htm just in case some else need the info have not drove it will later today to check it out, there set up to stock length tires are pretty evenly spaced about 1mm off measuring from the body to the tire not sure its worth to mess with |

Update: I drove the car today a mix of E-way and city (60 Miles or so) i do feel a difference car feels more connected and stiffer in the rear, on the e-way before if i moved the steering wheel left to right the rear had a very mild sway that is now gone turns seam more crisp (if that make seance) I have not laid into it my wife was with me the whole time:eek::angel: |

I took it out for a drive (with out the wife) there is a difference in the car aggressive driving the back end is more stable, hard take off's still spinning but you can feel it digging in a bit more not a whole lot of difference there (only did one launch from a stand still) but its spinning less and it was straight no sway to the right or left like it normally would I got them really cheap and for the ease of install and the way the car is handling better its two thumbs up!!! now just need a panhard bar and strut tower brace :) here ya go! sorry its not the best I just took this one, didnt get any when I was installing them http://i604.photobucket.com/albums/t...ps1f9d9b28.jpg |
