Default stock steering rack doesnt fit on BMR k-member

so i dropped my motor/trans on my assembled front suspension the other day and went to go bolt up my stock steering rack to the k-member and the holes on the rack mounts dont line up with the holes on the rack. the k-member i ordered is p/n: km002 which is the LT1 motor mounts using the stock steering rack mounts. i emailed BMR yesterday and havent heard anything back, so i am hoping you guys have a solution. can i elongate the holes so it lines up? that doesnt seem right to me, but i have run out of ideas. here are some pics:

as you can see, the bellows are hitting the k-member and not allowing the holes to line up . any help here is appretiated!

I had to dremel 1/8" around the ears of the steering rack mount holes, just a hair off the lip since it was touching the side of the k member..

It's a tight fit, I also lubed both sides of where the rack bolt in to so there would be no resistance

Lather up the racks bushings with a little bit of lube of some kind, seat the rack exactly how you have it in the pictures, and give it a couple blows with a dead blow hammer or rubber mallet so nothing gets damaged, and you should be able to wiggle it around enough to get the bolts through. I had to do this with my umi k with my ls motor, and my pa racing k member on my lt1 motor.

You might be able to jimmy it into place with a stout
Philips-head screwdriver in the holes; the mounting
ears don't look like they'll put up much of a fight. I
wouldn't hog out any holes I could get to fit any
other way, it stands a chance of giving you a new
slop / groan / creak if it can move at all.

thanks for the info guys! i will try those methods and see how it does. and it is ok for the bellows to be hitting the k-member like that? if the holes/rack mounts were moved forward about a half inch, there wouldnt be a problem, i will report back how it goes.

I have to say my favorite tool for lining up stubborn mounts like this, or any bolt hold that won't line up similar to this situation is a long pointed crow bar, it does the trick every time.
