Default question about a broken motor mount

In was driving home in the GTO today and gave it a good hard throttle pass of a light. I felt something like wheel hop but a lot worse.

Decided to try and do a mini launch to see if it was wheel hop behind the shop and the front end had like a bind feeling. Showed one of the guys with the hood popped to see if it was a strut mount and the drivers side of the motor damn nearly popped out of the car!

So assuming I have a broken bolt or motor mount, how would that of happened to a car with poly mounts?

do you think something else would be weak that could have caused this?

maybe a bad transmission mount can cause more stress on the motormounts.

That is what I have been leaning on. Maybe the trans mount was rocking it too much

When i had a bad tranny mount, the transmission would clunk pretty loud when upshifting under hard acceleration. Thats how you know you waited too long to replace it lol

did you install the poly mounts or did someone else? If you put them together using the factory shells, did you use loctite on the bolts? It could have separated and fell out

The GTO has busciut style mounts like the corvette. Not the clamshell styles. I think heat
