hehe. 4 year bump.

Finally got the car back on the road after it was sitting with bad tires, vibration, etc.

Anyway, fully rebuilt 10 bolt installed, vibration still there. I got 4 rhino ramps so I am able to set the car level on the ground on all 4 wheels.

Going to actually try to get the whole total 2 degree angle this time. I'm excited.

Thanks for bumping this, I've been planning to tweak mine. I understand the method but it seems to me the rear compensation for squat is opposite. In the above pic during launch, the trans will go to say -4* making it further away from the 0* of the pinion. Wouldn't it make more sense to point the pinion up for the 1.5-2 degrees of compensation? I get that you guys have worked out the vibes so not trying to correct yall, I'm just trying to understand, thanks.

Since this has been revived, probably a good place to post my updated instructional video on this topic:

So has anybody come to a conclusion to a fix for this mysterious vibration? I just installed my 9" and am having a hard time dialing in my angle. Trans sits at 4* degrees down towards the ground and my rear is up 2* and I still get a vibration

I would start with rear tilted up 4 degrees to match the trans.

After about 6 test drives and 6 different t adjustments I think I got it. I ended up shimming the trans up to 3* towards the ground and then adjusting the pinion to be 1* towards the ground. Cause with a lowered car your pushing the axle up more and your rear isnt under the trans anymore where it should be so instead of the pinion goin up its gotta go down. I got the vibration down to a tolerable minimum

Just some food for thought for people experiencing the 70+mph vibration issue. This is also a common symptom of the 5th-6th gear working lose on the main shaft. I chased my pinion angle for the longest time always coming out to spec and it not making one bit of difference. I happened to have my trans out during an upgrade and my 5th-6th gear slid sloppily right off (Supposed to be press fit) with noticeable wearing on the shaft. Getting ready to send it in to be fixed within the next month or so. Once i discovered this I did some more research and found out a lot of people had/have the same issue on the T56. So if you correct your pinion angle and the problem is still there, it might be a good idea to pull the trans and check things out.

I did the relocation bracket and I don't have a vibration at speed but rather feel a clunk at times when I let off the gas. I'm not sure if it's driveshaft related or not. Seems to be felt the most when in 6th gear. No real noises otherwise.

Greatly appreciated!
it's your driveshaft and pinion angle combination.
