Why are you buying everything at summit? WS6Store has Bilsteins cheaper than KYBs. I've never heard of anyone enjoying the ride with KYBs and lowering springs, some just say it's "ok" and can tolerate it.

Just try out the KYBs. Set them on level 2... Drive the car for a while and see how you like them. If they are too soft, bump up to 3. Then repeat.

Well now that this is all done. Seems like the upgrades need to keep continuing. Going to have to pick up an adjustable panhard bar, and an adjustable torque arm as well relocation brackets. My current panhard bar is a UMI performance one but non adjustable. And the relocation will help even out the rear suspension. Called BMR this morning and they gave me a run down of what would help with any kind of rear noise. He described it as pinion noise.

Well the dealership get's it monday. The pinion seal they put on 2 months ago is leaking. So they are going to put a new seal in and change the fluid. But I thought maybe that howling could be pinion angle or maybe I need an adjustable panhard bar because of off centering ?

If they replaced the pinion seal and did not get the pinion nut back on at exactly the right load, you are burning up your pinion bearing. Ask me how I know Doing them that way has a certain amount of risk. I played it that way to save money and got a few months before it went. The age of these cars doesn't help. I bet you crush sleeve is weak.
Time to save for a rebuild. Has to come apart to chnage the bearing. Mine was so ate up the guy doing the rebuild thought my differential was trash it was so hard to turn over.

Got back from the shop today. I have cracked some of the teeth on the ring and pinion I guess. Which I'm sure was caused by a dealership F up. Needless to say under there warranty which they just out of the blue up and changed. They told me to pound salt and they serviced this rear end in april and it's my fault. But clunking and the pinion seal was checked and supposed to be fixed in april. Needless to say things got loud I made a few comments and they changed my fluid and I howled my car 52 miles back home. Not fun at all. I swear with this car if it's not one things it's another. 2 grand plus now on a moser ?? my god!

I've priced out a few rear ends. Honestly sinking 2400.00 right now into this car right now is just out of my range. I'm probably going to just pick up a used 10 bolt to get me by and just pick up a beefy rear end this winter. Just had to happen right at the front of summer. Sucks

But I'm wondering. Car shifts fine, grabs, pulls, takes off. The noise since getting the suspension correct has gotten louder. Even at low speeds it's now loud. Could that just be a cheap in the gears ? or could I have a bad bearing

Two things: First I'm going with the BMR'S and Monroe's can't afford anything else right now, 2nd if you need a rearend we have one at the shop sitting around. It was taken from a 99 TA 6Speed, so it's a 3:42. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.
