Default Do I have an adjustable LCA?

Or is the one in the picture stock?
How do you adjust it, does it need to be jacked up first?
What does adjusting it do?

That looks like a picture of an adjustable pan hard bar, the adjustment is for centering the axle.

Mainly used when lowering a vehicle or aftermarket axle.

That's an adjustable panhard bar. It locates your rear end from side to side.

I think the suspension is otherwise stock... Why would someone install this first over an LCA or new shocks and springs?

Yeah man that's panhard bar. Like he said if you have aftermarket axle (i.e. 9", 12 bolt, 8.8, etc) to center it. Or if lowered. And someone might've replaced it first if they got a good deal on it.. you can't ever know lol

As far as I know the rear end and all of the suspension is stock other than this. Wtf why would the previous owner just install this?

They may have had it lowered and used the adjustable panhard bar to center the rear. It's not a bad thing that you have one.

Maybe he had more aftermarket stuff on there that he took off before selling it to you.
Maybe the original bushings were bad so he just got a new arm.
Maybe he was planning on lowering at some point but never did.
Maybe he just wanted to replace something for the heck of it.

Who knows. We aren't mind readers. Just be happy that is one less thing you'd have to buy if you decide to lower the car
