Default stock rear lca

Was wondering if welding a plate on the bottom of the lca would help out with flex or hurt anything, saving for new ones but im impatient an want more grip now. Putting new bushings in as well, going with the stock rubber because i read on here the that people are recommending not using poly in lca.

Those recommending not using poly are generally saying that if the user is more oriented towards handling. If you're looking for grip for drag racing and not for handling, poly would be fine. It would also help with any wheel hop and add some consistency to your launch because the deflection of poly is less than rubber.

I've personally did it years ago on a G-Body and didn't notice any gains, I suggest save up and get a good after market set of lower control arms. We also are very vocal in the fact that we prefer heim-joint over any other style and at least single adjustable if not double.

I'm running my "reinforced" stockers on the bottom hole of the LCA relocation brackets w/zero wheel hop and 1.52 60' (results may vary). Plus the ride is still quiet and smooth as stock.
