Default Can I get you guys opinion on my suspension setup?

Just ordered Viking dbl adjustable coil overs for my 2000 SS.
Car is a 4**" built motor, iron block, with a billet 84 BW turbo. All BMR suspension, turbo k member, a-arm kit, extreme (short) torque arm, etc.. Th400 trans, and hoping for weight around 3150-3200 but I have a feeling it's going to be 3300-3400. Gotta have hopes though I guess.

My coilovers are the dbl adjust obviously, with 300lb front, and 150lb rear spring rate.

Anybody else in the turbo world got any input on this setup?

Not exactly in the turbo world, but Viking coilovers seem to have gained a great deal of respect since that have come out. I know a couple of friends who ran a turbo setup who ran an 8.72 at 160 in the quarter with 275lb springs up front and stock out rear, they ended up switching to Viking shocks because they needed a more drag oriented shock and needed a little more spring rate. They never ran the car with the Vikings but the guy they sold it to is now running consistent high 8.6x and low 8.7x with the Vikings. They ran mid to high 1.3x in the 60' with their old shocks/springs but unfortunately never got around to test out what the Vikings could pull

The obvious question here for the OP is -- do you only care about going in a straight line, or do you care about handling? The answers you seek depend on your answer.

I think it's pretty obvious. He is looking to boogie in the quarter mile. The Vikings are definitely good there. The AFCOs might be better, but for the price, the Vikings are very tough to beat.

So far I've been happy with mine (haven't had them long), and my biggest fear is the learning curve. However I was impressed on the first drive that they were mild mannered during normal driving and weight transferred better then the old stuff so im hopeful with some trial and error I can get my car to hook really well. It hooked all day on a decent track, now with the Vikings I want it to hook on wet grass
