Lightbulb What kind of upgraded front brake options are out there?

I'm purchasing a set of 17" Weld RTS wheels for the front of my car. The CTS-V upgrade isn't going to work unless I go 18". So what other options are out there? I came across a Baer set but can no longer seem to locate it. What are you running? What's out there?

I believe people have said on here that the CTS-V brakes fit just fine under the RTS wheels, I could be wrong though. Besides that I'd opt for the base model C6 brakes, or one of the super expensive Wildwood or similar kits. C5 brakes aren't worth it to me IMO.

We'll go with "Enthusiastic Driving". A test & tune here or there, but mainly a toy. Don't forsee any road race courses.

IMO it's not worth the money to upgrade then. LS1 front brakes and decent pads with SS brake lines will be fine.

Wilwood makes several different sets front and rear to fit under smaller wheels. And you can order Weld wheels to fit over any brakes made out there from GM.

+1. Unless you're looking for the asthetic benefits of the upgrade, I'd throw good pads and SS lines on the stock setup and be done with it.

For what it's worth, I track my car regularly and am still running the stock LS1 calipers with blank rotors and track pads. The tires are the biggest limitation of my braking setup.
