Default Steering column spline question

Hey guys not finding quite what I'm looking for but what spline count and diameter is the output shaft from the steering column once the steering wheel is removed from an 02 Trans Am?

I'm looking at getting a shrifter set up but want to be sure the output spline from the stock steering column is plug and play into the shrifter hub.

Any help or pix would be greatly appreciated.

Moving to Suspension and Brakes as I expect folks in that area will have a quick answer.

JAZZMAN may have the answers for you: (The steering column itself is a standard GM make. I know the guide has some good pictures.) http://www.crankshaftcoalition.com/w...ck_Rebuild.pdf

Much appreciated for the move. I half suspected this might be the right place to post but 2nd guessed myself.

Not 100% sure that the PDF has info to lead me to believe without a doubt that the Shrifter will fit on the steering column. After looking at Twist Machine's website for info on the Shrifter it looks as though they claim it fits 67-94 GM spline steering columns. It appears as though this was a major standard. Not sure where that leaves me. Are the steering splines from 94 used in the 02 Trans Am and Camaros? Still hunting the web for an answer, any help would be appreciated.

I don't know about the splines, but most of the innards of the column are interchangeable.

I'd check out an aftermarket steering wheel seller and see which years their wheels fit on. That should give you some good hints.

I know that the Momo 2401 hub I have on my car fits the splines perfectly, and they list that hub as fitting from WAY back, up to (but not including, for obvious legality/liability reasons) the air bag era GM/Chevy vehicles.

Awesome sounds like its a direct fit then if the patterns haven't changed in so long.
