Default 5th Gen SS Spindles on 4th Gen F-Body for Brembo Break Upgrade?

I was mainly wondering if this were possible (or cost effective) as I know to do the Brembo brake upgrade, you have to enlargen the bolt holes on the spindles. While thats not too daunting of a task, it just leaves me very concerned about the integrity of the spindle itself as its carrying some of the most important components of the car itself.

Is it possible to just use a 5th Gen Camaro Spindle on a 4th Gen F-Body?

The front suspension of the 5th gen is totally different. It is a multi-link setup with a strut that the spindle bolts to. Not a short-long arm setup with a coilover shock connected to the lower arm directly like the 4th gen has.

In short - No.

^ This. If you are looking to do a good brake upgrade using readily available factory parts, do the CTS-V calipers and Z06 rotors. There is a good write up on this forum of how to do this. Basically a bolt over swap

I was also guessing even with the Z06 rotors we need longer wheel studs dont we?

You would only need longer wheel studs if you had to add a spacer for your wheels to clear the larger caliper.

Correct, the hat thickness is the same between the Z06 and F body rotors so stud length and fitment won't change. The only concerns then will be wheel diameter and pad height because the new calipers being larger may have interference issues with the back of the spokes of the wheel

Ah okay. Makes sense now.
Was there ever a clear listing as to what wheels will fit without a spacer?
