I think i remember reading somewhere once that the distance from the ground to top of wheel well front and rear on a 4th gen stock height is around 28.5. Obviously tires can change this. Just wondering if anyone can confirm

i figured that was the answer id get. i never measured before i did my viking install cause i was too anxious....was trying for roughly 1-1.5 inch drop due to my driveway and other opinions of those who are lowered. I'm trying for 27". so somewhere round 1-1.5 i guess.

I got the Vikings on this weekend. Ended up with the lock nut at only about 3 turns from the bottom in the rears which gave me a 1.5" drop from 28" in the rears to 26.5". I guess I won't really be able to go any lower than that, but it looks good and I'm happy with it. On the fronts, I've only completed the passenger side, but it looks like I'll have to be around 24 turns from the bottom with the lock nut to get her right where I want to sit. Much happier with where the spring sits on the shock in the front. I am tackling the final wheel this weekend and am not looking forward to the brake master cylinder! Since you have done this already, do you have any suggestions when it comes to that piece? (sorry to hijack your thread)

Thanks guys. Was able to install everything without a hitch and just got her back from getting a new alignment! Man this thing drives so much better with new shocks and springs! It squats/hooks noticeably better as well! Thanks again for the advice and help !

Congratulations on your new set of shocks and springs. I will be following the same route shortly. Still doing research for my best setup. After removing a “little” weight from the nose area, my car sits at 29.25” from ground to fender.

Measurements should all be from fender to center axle to be correct. What I found to be stock height is the body line is in line with the top of the rear tire and the middle lip of the front tire. I spent a lot of time trying to set for a stock ride height. I would have to measure to get you numbers, but I've found this visual way is a good way.

Yeah that’s my problem. I’ve been close to wiping out a few times shifting from 2-3 and 3-4 tires breaks loose.
I’m in the process of looking for a nice set of wheels for a good price if not I’m going to go 255 at least for rear for now.
I’m limited to the 17x8.5 C5 thin spoke wheels.
