Drag rear sway bar
Ok guys I know what the best rear drag bars are available for best 60ft times, but I live in Australia and currently our exchange rate is crap and shipping has become so expensive that a $420 USD drag rear bar will end up near $800 for me with shipping.. so I saw this one (link to it below), it's a 1" diameter solid bar, which must be a massive improvement for keeping the rear straight on the launch?, and I'm wondering if anyone is running it, and what is your results
Thanks in advance

I guess I can try it and also fit an air bag in the right rear coil spring to further stop body roll and see how it works out.

I thought of that and measured my front bar as i've already removed it, but it looks like too much effort to modify it all to fit properly, so i'll probably try the summit 1" solid sway bar and see how that works

The issue with using a swaybar as a drag bar is that until you can mount it solid and stop it from moving side to side any preload you apply while sitting still will be gone once you make a pass.
This is why you read complaints of drag bars hitting shocks going around corners breaking off adjuster buttons or just making noise. A true drag bar will have zero side to side movement and will be all solid mounted using either an oilite bushing or high end bearing.
With that said I do get your problem and if you do something like that make sure it has zero side to side movement and as rigid mounted as possible.

Would it be better than stock? Yes. Would it perform as well as an actual drag bar, probably not. That being a solid bar will be very heavy, and having a stock style end link mounting will limit its effectiveness.
Our bar is the best compromise of a street/strip bar you can have. It has been proven into the 1.1x 60' range and still handle the abuses of daily driving. Our bars also include mounting brackets that mount to the axle where needed to locate the bar. The horror stories you read of people having bars shifting are from improper installation. Feel free to send me your address info and I can get you a quote with shipping .We have a carrier that offers us reasonable international shipping rates I can check with

Those discussing 60' times while using a modified swaybar or anti rollbar should understand that they are not devices to improve 60' times on their own. What they do is improve consistency which in turn will help you tune your suspension to work better thus improving 60' times.
