Default Help braking specialists, my brakes are noisy as hell- why? They are recent.

New brakes, pads, rotors ff and rr, last summer- squeal like a MF'er. How do I eliminate the noise?

More info please....
1. What pads?
2. What rotors?
3. Did you use anti-squeel shims? (They may have been pre-attached to the back of the pads.)
4. Did you use anti-squeel greese

If you anser:
1. race pads
2. doesnt matter really
3. no
4. no

Then thats why they squeel.

1. Cheap metallic pads
2. Stock rotors
3. I don't know, a buddy installed them
4. Same as above- not sure

How do I quiet them down?

Metallic pads inherently squeel, but not having anti-squeel shims or grease is probably the real culprit (you might want to check to see if there is any).
