2010- 15 Cts-V, Camero SS, and ZL1 brembos the same?
Hello!
I've been looking at brake upgrades for my high HP 240sx.
The cts-V brakes are a no brainer. But, I was wondering if the ZL1, Camero SS and CtsV, rear brembos were the same caliper for the 2010-2015 models. Has anyone looked at theme side by side?
Only reason I ask is because since the Cts-V conversion has come out. CTSV brakes have sky rocketed in price. If the same caliper is available, just off of a different car. That's obviously the best bang for your buck. At the end of the day it's all brembos anyway.
I'm not worried about conversion brackets, or lines, or any of that stuff. That's gonna be custom, and I know that I just want to get a little insight before my purchase.
According to a couple "reputable" sellers of brembos on ebay (that's why reputable is in quotes). They actually seem to know their stuff a little. They are saying that the 04-07 Cadillac rears are the same as the 2010-15 zl1 and SS brembos.
I was also speaking to a maker of conversion brackets for these applications and he says caddy has always been the same rear's 01- up until today. Which kinda makes sense, why make 3 different sets of brembos for 2 different cars in a similar weight and power class. AND it's all basically the same company.
Any help or insight is appreciated.

04-07 CTSV part number 1722309
2010+ Camaro SS part number 1722502
2010+ Camaro ZL1 part number 1722538
use those numbers on rockauto to look at pics... they're mechanically the same. Only difference besides the obvious finish could be the mounting hole size (as it is on the front)
ctsv is different on the front v. the camaro mounting holes... 12mm v. 14mm

1722287/88 are the front and 1722309 is for the rear on 04-07 CTS-V. Good info on the clearance needed on the rear, but I heard on the F-body the rears should not be upgraded as it will lock up. Not sure if this is true or not. As far as the fronts are concerned, after reading this I'm pretty much sold:
It...Stops...AMAZING...some members here were telling me that I wouldn't really feel the difference between the stock brakes and the Brembos but I have to disagree...there is a TREMENDOUS night and day difference even over a full factory brake job...I can stop from a 45 roll instantly (if I don't mind everything in the back seat to go flying through the car)..
