Default Baer Brakes Installed! Suspension Pics Inside!

I finally got around to installing my Baer Brakes Track 4 BBK on my 02. Installation was very easy and bleeding wasn't too bad with the Motive power bleeder. (although the bleeder leaked!) On the back I got matching Decelarotors and had my stock calipers powdercoated.
All of the suspension parts are UMI Performance/Strano Springs. All in all its a great total package for suspension! The SLP Bilstein shocks are adequate for street driving. Im sure Koni's would be better for track use.

How does the sweep look on the pad? It looks like you might cut through the middle of the cross-drilled holes on the inner part of the rotor. Won't know till you bed it, but I'd be curious to see what it looks like.

This is a purpose built kit made by Baer. I imagine the sweep is what the brake manufacturer designed. Who knows?

I got the brakes, and my chassis & suspension parts from UMI Performance. You cannot go wrong with their parts and most of all Service!

Hmm, that car would be fun at our next skid pad and slalom day. After all, you have Green Machine experience...

Pads are 98-02 Fbody pads! No waiting on a special order of crazy sized pads

That is cool. And the price is good. Will have to consider these - how does it stop?

Stops Great! and pedal feel is firmer than stock. Although I had 12+ year old fluid in it then and now has ATE SuperBlue DOT 4. It also seems as though the "AntiStop Brakes" (ABS) doesnt have as much influence on the stopping power

Nice. And the fact that it takes F-Body pads is awesome.

Doesn't look like the caliper is particularly big (face to spoke clearance), which is a good thing for wheel clearance.

I would love to try it out! I bet the Green Machine still handles better! The Viking components are very good stuff!

To the masses... FYI the wheels pictured are 18". I am not sure if 17" will fit. I can throw a OEM 10 spoke on and test fitment.

If you get a chance that would be great info for all of us. We are running this same Track 4 kit on our LeMans and it clears a 17" wheel. I think as long as there is nothing funky in the wheel you are good.

I should have tried them on my car before we shipped them to you.

That's good to know. I'm looking at Weld RTS wheels in the Medium Pad (since in 17s, the MP has the right offsets). Weld claims 1.2" of clearance with the MP and Baer says you need .89" of clearance. I wonder if they'd fit... Or if I need to go to the High Pad and it's funky offsets.
