Default Upgrading suspension for lq4 swap

hey guys just needing some insight on beefing up my suspension to handle the weight difference of an lq4 I’m replacing my ls1 with. I don’t drag race the car I’m not looking for anything crazy it’s gonna be driven 90% on the street, car will be making close to 500whp I was considering the slp/bilstein shock and spring combo or possibly just doing konis all around but wasn’t sure what everyone would suggest

You don't need to replace anything just because of the LQ4 being a little heavier. When I did my LQ9 I couldn't even tell the difference, and I didn't change a thing suspension wise

the only thing that worries me is the car has been sitting outside for 2 years cause I didn’t have storage so I was planning on swapping anyways for that reason and plus being worn out at 100,000 miles

Gotcha. I changed my stock springs and shocks at about 80k. I went with BMR springs and Koni STR.T's. Definitely a nice difference

As mentioned, you don't need to change anything for the heavier block (~88lbs heavier IIRC). Both shocks you mentioned will make for a nice upgrade. If you can afford it, go with the Koni's all the way around.

What does this have to do with upgrading suspension for an engine swap?
